On Wednesday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, the honorable Alberto Gonzales, former Attorney General of the United States appointed by President George W. Bush, joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about his book signing taking place in Lubbock today, as well as current events.

Gonzales will be speaking 6:30 p.m. today (April 19, 2017) at The Lubbock Women’s Club, and signing his newest book True Faith and Allegiance: A Story of Service and Sacrifice in War and Peace. Tickets may be purchased by calling (806) 763-6448.

Gonzales talked about his new book, and discussed with Hasty many hot-button issues including many of the policies and actions that have been implemented and taken by President Donald J. Trump and his administration.

Topics covered included the border wall Trump promises to build, restrictions on immigration for national security purposes, the "nuclear option" used in the U.S. Senate during the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the controversy over sanctuary cities.

While talking about the border wall, Gonzales said,

President Trump campaigned on building a wall. He aims to keep his promise, you have to admire that...But, as a general matter, I think we can have a secure border, we can deal with this issue without having to spend the billions of dollars that will be necessary to build a three thousand mile wall.
