This year, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting a marketing meeting workshop for local cotton producers. The meeting will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. April 6 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane in Lubbock.

The workshop is free and open to the public. It will be held in Rooms 107-108.

The event is being held along side the Texas Cotton Ginners’ Association Annual Meeting and Trade Show. "The main topics to be discussed will be the cotton and grain market outlook, pricing strategies, possible opportunities to improve the bottom line and opportunities in the 2014 Farm Bill to plant program crops on cotton-generic acres to qualify for program payments,” said Dr. Jackie Smith, AgriLife Extension economist at Lubbock.
