Police Arrest Babysitter for Kidnapping 2-Year-Old Girl

HAMILTON, Mass. (AP) — Police say a former babysitter is under arrest in the kidnapping of 2-year-old Massachusetts girl who was found sitting nude by the side of a road with her head shaved.

Hamilton police say 21-year-old Abigail Hanna is being held without bail Saturday.

Hanna is described as a former babysitter of Lyndon Albers, who was reported missing from her home on Friday morning. The toddler was found alone hours later, about seven miles from her home. She was taken to Boston Children's Hospital for evaluation.

Hanna, of Topsfield, faces charges including kidnapping and assault and battery on a child. It was not immediately known if she had legal representation.

Police did not immediately release other details.
