Gas prices continued a growing trend across Texas and the nation this week, reported AAA Texas.

Drivers in Texas are now paying an average of $2.38 per gallon of unleaded gasoline, that is up seven cents from last week but more than a dollar less than last year at this time.

Nationally drivers are paying an average of $2.58.

Weekend gas prices can be found as low as $2.18 in the Lubbock area, according to gasbuddy.com.
