Clovis Police Capture Escaped Inmate Ruben Hernandez

A man that escaped from Clovis Police Tuesday has been captured.

Forty-year-old Ruben Hernandez ran out of the Clovis Municipal Court Tuesday morning.

Hernandez was being held on charges of Robbery and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.

Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers received information that Hernandez was in a residence in the 300 block of Delores Street in Clovis.

Officers made contact and received permission to search the residence.

Hernandez was found inside the home’s living room where he was taken into custody without incident or struggle.

Hernandez was transported back to the Curry County Detention Center.
