It's been 11 years since America came under attack from terrorist groups on that fateful day. Though that time has passed, the memories and tragedy of September 11th will always remain.

Those who lost their lives and those who acted as heroes that day will be honored on Tuesday, September 11, here in Lubbock. Several area memorial and tributes will happen the week of and on that day.

LISD and American State Banks have partnered together for the annual tribute from the students, teachers and parents from Murfree Elementary. They have placed 1,000 American flags at Kastman Park. The display will last until Thursday, September 13. Kastman Park is located at 6901 Nashville Drive.
