2012 Rainfall Still Below Average
We have had some rain in Lubbock during the first quarter of 2012. However, it’s not enough to brag about.
Through Friday, the National Weather Service recorded precipitation totaling 1.29 inches. In a normal year, we would have received 2.43 inches. So, we were 1.14 inches below normal.

On the positive side, the rainfall so far this year is about a half inch more than at this time last year.
