Texas Tech has released its 2015 football schedule, which includes the Red Raiders' home opener and Big 12 Conference games.

The 12-game regular season will kick off right here in Lubbock, Texas at Jones AT&T Stadium when the Red Raiders take on Sam Houston State Sept. 5. The season will wrap on Nov. 26 in Austin when Texas Tech takes on the University of Texas.

Things to note about the 2015 Red Raiders schedule:

  • The team will play 11 consecutive weeks leading up to their final game
  • Texas Tech's off weeks are: Nov. 21 and Dec. 5
  • Texas Tech's game against UTEP will mark the annual Celebrate Cotton Game
  • Big 12 play for the Red Raiders begins Sept. 26 against the TCU Horned Frogs
  • Texas Tech's finale home game is Nov. 14 against the Kansas City Wildcats
