Connecticut became the first team to advance to the 2014 NCAA men's basketball national title game by defeating Florida at the Final Four on Saturday. Here's a recap of the day's action:

Connecticut 63, Florida 53

DeAndre Daniels had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Connecticut upset top-ranked Florida, 63-53, at the 2014 Final Four in North Texas on Saturday. The Huskies (31-8) stopped the Gators' school-record 30-game winning streak and advanced to play the winner of Saturday's Kentucky-Wisconsin game for the national title on Monday night.

Florida bolted out to a 16-4 lead early in the first half, before UConn rallied to hold a 25-22 edge at halftime. The Huskies first took the lead, 21-20, on Niels Giffey's free throw after a made layup with 3:20 left in the first half.

Connecticut extended its lead to double-digits in the second half. The Gators cut the margin to 41-38 before fading down the stretch. Shabazz Napier added 12 points and six assists for the Huskies, who will play for their second national title in four years (2011) on Monday.

Patric Young scored a game-high 19 points for Florida (36-3).
