Friday, the day of data breaches.

First, 14.8 MILLION Texas voters had their information exposed.

And now, T-Mobile has announced that 2 million of its customers have been affected by a data breach.

This is not good, folks!

The company said its cyber-security team first discovered that hackers had gained unauthorized access to its system on August 20. T-Mobile has claimed that no financial data like social security or credit card numbers were exposed, and passwords were also said to be safe. The only information the hackers were able to access was listed as: “name, billing zip code, phone number, email address, account number and account type (prepaid or postpaid).”

T-Mobile has said that they will contact the affected customers via text message. I'm not sure that is the best way to notify them, but whatever works.
