On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Cal Brints gave the details of the 18th annual Butter Festival. The Festival will be held at Apple Country Orchards in conjunction with the Metropolitan Rotary Club, located East of Idalou. It will be open to the public on September 14th and 15th from 10 am to 5 pm.

Many apple products will be available, including apple butter, apple cake, apple pie, and apple cider. Along with these treats, there will be live music and many events taking place over the weekend, such as hay rides, face painting, an archery contest, and petting zoo. There will also be a lady bug release during the event.

Admission is $3 per person. The festival will act as a fundraiser for the charities of the Rotary Club, such as the Food Bank and Women's Protective Services.
