16-Year Veteran Lubbock Police Officer Arrested for Indecent Exposure

A Lubbock Police Department officer was arrested for indecent exposure Thursday evening after resigning from the force that day.

Former SGT. Brian O’Dell Burt, 40, was arrested just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday, after Lubbock police obtained a probable cause affidavit. The department said they received a complaint Wednesday that Burt had exposed himself to a woman while off duty and immediately began an investigation.

Burt is a 16-year veteran of the department, according to police.

No attorney has been listed for Burt, more details were not immediately available.

Burt is being held in the Lubbock County Jail as of early Friday with no bail set.
