The 112th Congress will begin their work on Wednesday and that has many Republicans and Conservatives giddy with visions of repeals and conquests over the Democrats and President Obama. I've gotten emails saying, "this is it!" or "this is the year we take back our Country!". Many Republicans and Tea Party folks who I talk to are ready to plan victory speeches for years to come.

This sorta sounds like what people said about the 2010 Dallas Cowboys. Remember all the talk of how great the Cowboys were? Remember how the experts picked the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl? That the Cowboys would be unstoppable? All the fans were excited and couldn't wait for the season to start. Oh, the experts even picked the Eagles to come in near the bottom of the NFC East.

Then the season started. It started off bad, then ugly, and then got even uglier. Reality happened. So much promise, so much excitement, and so many expectations.

The 112th Congress will be the Dallas Cowboys of the political world. Republicans are excited about repealing Obamacare. Reality? President Obama would have to sign off on any repeal.

I'm with the majority of you in wanting to see it repealed, but I don't see it happening. That's why I'm not that excited to see what the Republicans can do. I'm not 100% ready to declare Obama a one term President either. Why? There will be gridlock in Washington and Republicans will get blamed. Obama's poll numbers will go up and who knows who will be nominated to run for the Republicans.

I'm glad the Republicans are in control of the house. I think the Republican party has potential. But, I'm not ready to crown them Super Bowl Champs just yet.
