10-Month-Old Jason Wadley Jr. Killed in Driveway Accident

A child is dead after being hit near a driveway Sunday evening.

Thirty-year-old Latoya Swanger was backing her Kia Rondo SUV out of a driveway in the 6100 block of Avenue R just before 9 p.m. Sunday, May 11^th.

Jason Wadley, Jr., a 10-month-old child, was on the sidewalk of the driveway at the time.

According to Lubbock Police, Swanger hit Wadley with her vehicle as she was backing up. Wadley was taken to University Medical Center. He was pronounced dead hours later.
