Lubbock ISD has announced that ten band, choir and orchestra students have recently earned all-state honors

Nine were determined by the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), and one student from Estacado High School was recognized by the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB).

Being selected for one of the all-state performing groups by either organization represents the highest possible level of musical recognition in band, choir, and orchestra in the State of Texas.

According to Director of Fine Arts Dr. Christopher Anderson, “LISD is extremely proud of the accomplishments of our band, choir, and orchestra programs, and are thrilled to have these 10 students representing us in San Antonio at the annual TMEA convention. While we celebrate with each student in their individual accomplishment to make a state ensemble, we are especially excited to have a representative this year in the All-State band from Estacado High School. Also remarkable is the record five band students from a single program at Lubbock High School".
Congratulations to these students and their accomplishments!
